Művészettörténet - Cservenyák László: 100 éve született Kertész Klára keramikusművész

Cservényük László Animal figures of Klára Kertész are not children toys. They were made only partly as decorations for flats. These figures are the symbols of the wide scale of human character from the hell to the paradise. In 1957 she became the member of the Art Foundation of the Flungarian People’s Republic. Her professional success was manifested in several international exhibitions in Brussels, Helsinki, Moscow, Rome and a number of Hungarian ones. The most enjoyable works are her animal figures, because in each of them we find some human gesture, some loving empathy. It seems to us there is a reincarnation of a human being in the mentality of the animal. “I feel like somebody who arrived home after a long journey” - she said on 10 June 1978 after the opening of her oeuvre exhibition in Jósa András Museum. On this occasion she presented almost 200 works of art to the county. Her real returning was when the complete material got to the Szatmár Museum in 1994. County museum director Péter Németh thought that the best place for Klára Kertész’ works would be close to her birth-place, in Mátészalka, the capital of Szatmár In April 2009 the Szatmár Museum arranged a large oeuvre exhibition commemorating the centenary of Klára Kertész’ birthday and her art.
