Museum teacher Anikó Mártonné Vattai graduated at the Department of Museum Education (Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Eötvös Loránd University) with a diploma thesis „Trends in the attendance of the Jósa András Museum from 1962 up to our days". Zsuzsa Soósné Csernák made her cultural manager diploma thesis (Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, Nyíregyháza College) under the title „Visitors' customs in the Jósa András Museum before and after the political changes in 1989-90". The tutor of both studies was museologist János Bene. The article in question presents the edited version of these two works. Jósa András Museum operated in two buildings from the end of the 1950s, got under the management of the County Council in 1962.
