This is a short summary of our knowledge on the collection of sources made by a certain L. Forró (or S. Forró) today believed to be missing. The work in question contained historic sources considering Avarian Age (Die auf die Awaren bezüglichen Geschichtsquellen), and we know for sure that it was completed. András Alföldi was to publish it in his world widely known series (Dissertationes Pannonicae), but finally it was not edited. We do not know the reasons. Perhaps it was the Second World War. At the same time, something else must have happened with Forró's work, than with the four planned collections promised by Károly Czeglédy, István Bona, András Mócsy and Samu Szádeczky-Kardoss.
