Régészet - Zsolt Székely: Contribution to the Relative Chronology of the South-Eastern Transylvanian Early Bronze Age

Kiegészítés Délkelet-Erdély kora bronzkorának relatív kronológiájához Contribution to the Relatíve Chronology of the South-Eastern Transylvanian Early Bronze Age According to the recent archeological research, the relative chronology of the South-Eastern Transylvanian Early Bronze Age had a change. In Eugenia Zaharia's opinion, the material of Zäbala includes a lot of elements which are derived from the Cernavodä II-Foltesti, Rämnicelu, Co§ereni Cultures and she considers, that this culture stays on the base of the formation of Monteoru culture. Three new archeological discoveries made in South-Eastern Transylvania changed the relative chronology of the Early Bronze Age. The first one is an inhumation burial in a stone kist, found at Csíkszentmárton (Sänmartin-Ciuc, Hargita County), which represented the first and single evidence for the penetration of the Globular Amphora Culture's communities into the Ciuc's Basin. The second one was discovered at Albis (Albi§, Covasna County), in Ferenc Bajka's garden. It was a Cotofeni Culture settlement, the pottery of which includes two fragments of vessels belonging to the Globular Amphora Culture. The third discovery was made between Sepsiszentgyörgy (Sf. Gheorghe, Covasna County) and Árkos (Arcus, Covasna County). It is a Cotofeni Culture settlement, which material includes a fragmentary vessel, belonging to the Globular Amphora Culture. These communities have contributed to the later formation of Schneckenberg Culture in South-East Transylvania.
