Régészet - János Németi–János Dani: Soem Early Bronze Age graves from the Érmellék (Romania) and Nyírség (Hungary). Some data on the Early Bronze Age of Northeast Hungary and Northwest Romania
Németi János - Dani János d, At the present stage of the research we suggest the following chronological sequence for the Upper Tisza Region: Early Bronze Age/Bronzul timpuriu L: Makó Culture Early Bronze Age/Bronzul timpuriu IL: Nyírség Culture Early Bronze Age/Bronzul timpuriu Ilia .: Szaniszlo/Sanisläu Group Early Bronze Age/Bronzul timpuriu Illb .: phase Andrid/Érendréd Appearance of Ottomány Culture e, Periodization elaborated by Petre Roman, dividing Early Bronze Age to periods la, lb, Ic, IIa, IIb, III, can be adopted mainly for the territories south of the Carpathians and SE Transylvania. However, the peripheral parts of the Great Hungarian Plain, among them the Érmellék and Banat are related to the cultural development of the Tisza Region, so in their case it is the chronological system elaborated by Hungarian research that can be used successfully. Inhumation burial rite appears in the Érmellék at the very end of the Early Bronze Age (phase Illb), possibly marking the influence of the forming Ottomány Culture, that, after its settlement, amalgamated the local Early Bronze Age population (using cremation rite) found here.
