567 The history of restoration at the Somogy County Museums PÉTER HORVÁTH — KLÁRA MARTON — LAJOSNÉ VÁMOSI The authors show the changes occurring in the field of restoration and working facilities embedded in the museum's history. This process of development began in 1973. From this time a gradually growing emphasis was placed — at state level as well — on the protection of works of art, on the working conditions and up to date facilities, as well as the step by step training of restorers. The events of the 80-s and 90-s taking place in the Museum had their impact on the restoration cabinet as well. The personal changes, the moving, the changes in working conditions however had a positive influence on the work. Today up to date, well furnished workrooms are provided, which are both suitable for health and professional requirements. In the supplement the authors provide a list of the past and present restorers of the Museum and give a brief account of their publications.
