EGY 15—16. SZÁZADI VERETES ÖV RESTAURÁLÁSA ÉS REKONSTRUKCIÓJA 255 14. kép. Az elkészített rekonstrukció (Dobó Bernadett) The restoration and reconstruction of a 15—16. С. mounted belt LÁSZLÓ KÖLTŐ — BERNADETT DOBÓ At the Marótpuszta clay mine, belonging in the administrative sense to Somogysámson we conducted preceding excavations in 2000, 2001, 2002. With the financial support of the owner of the territory, the Wienerberger Téglaipari Kft. 789 objects were excavated. We found the fortifications of the 16. С earthworks, the rubble filled foundation ditches of the church built from bricks in the inner caste, and the surrounding cemetery. We also started the excavation of the settlement. During the excavations the grave of a young girl, disturbed by later burials was found. We unearthed in the grave a belt decorated by embossed metal mountings, which we succeeded in securing "in situ" for restoration. During metallurgical research we could conduct the quality analyses of the corroded finds. We could ascertain that the mountings were made from copper, while the clasp is from bronze. The conservations, restoration and reconstruction from materials, techniques similar to the original, was made as a diploma work at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts (Object Restoration Department).
