Majer József – M. Bordács Margit – Borhidi Attila:A Baláta-tó vízminőségének alapállapot felvételezése

106 Water quality investigation on Lake-Baláta JÓZSEF MAJER - MARGIT M. BORDÁCS -ATTILA BORHIDI Chemical analyses of Lake-Baláta's surface water have been carried out many times since 1991. Ionic composition of more or less corresponds to he slightly acid moss lakes. 28 chemical components and physical characters were measured (see tables 1-4). The water of Lake-Baláta is typical bicarbonate water, where the relative concentration of the main anion constituents could be ranged in orders as HCO 3>SO ~ 4 ">CI " In the first period of investigation (1991-1996) the SO 4 ~ content of the water some times was more than the HCO з>. It may be result of unbalanced water level and extreme lack of water is some years. The oxygen saturation values have been calculated on the basis of Whipple and Fox tables and corrected for the atmospheric pressure of Lake-Baláta. The water was subsaturated. Oxygen deficit was 30-40%. Ca ++ component was less than 10mg/I mostly. The pH was 8-8,7 between 1991-1993, during the dry period of the lake. Later it decreased under 7 pH and oscillated around 6,5 pH. The P soluble P (PP0 4 ) content varying from 0,01 to 0,6 mg/l. Nitrates show a higher content in the lake (up to 4,6 mg/l). The range of conductivity was from 0,05 - to 0,13 mSimens/cm. Authors address: Dr. MAJER József Dr. M.
