ÁBRAHÁM L. ÉS UHERKOVICH Á.: A VILLÁNYI-HEGYSÉG NAGYLEPKE FAUNÁJA 339 characteristic mostly for hygrophilous biotops. Also, the adults of Hypoxystis pluviaria F. were taken first in county Baranya in the year 2000. Further rarities were also taken, which had already been known earlier (Dyscia conspersaria Fabr., Cryphia muralis Forst., Phyllophyla obliterata Ramb., Pyrrhia purpurina Esp., Phalera bucephaloides Ochs., Callopistria latreillei Dup., Cucullia farmosa Rghf., Shargacucullia gozmanyi Ronkay & Ronkay, Cryphia muralis Forst., Omphalophana anthirrhini Hbn., Dysgonia algira L., Meganephria bimaculosa Hbn., Eupithecia insigniata Hbn., Eupithecia venosata Fabr., Eupithecia gueneata Mab., Marumba quercus Den. & Schiff., Jolanajolas Ochs., etc.). The composition of species, the multitude of rare and protected or endangered species can be firm reasons for the extension of legal protection onto further natural or nearnatural areas of the Villány Hills. This could help some rarities to survive or to prevent the contraction and extinction of the populations of certain species.
