József SÁR The author reports on the occurrence of 55 lamellicorn beetles in the lowland areas along river Dráva, making the total number of species known from this area grow to 79. Twelve species had not been collected previously in the area. The most notable from the faunistic point of view has been the appearance of Aesalus scarabeoides Panz. (Lucanidae), and another rare species is Aphodius niger Panz. The most intensively studied areas were in the proximity of village Potony: hornbeam-oak forests (Lugi forest), meadows and pastures. The author presents suggestions aiming at protecting the lamellicorn fauna in addition to preserving the current state of hardwood forests, hornbeam-oak woods, meadows and pastures.
