Korsós Z.: Néhány adat a Dráva-mellék ikerszelvényes (Diplododa) faunájához. Előzetes közlemény. - Contribution to the knowledge of the millipede fauna (Diplopoda) of the Dráva Region, Hungary. Preliminary report.

36 DUNÁNTÚLI DOLGOZATOK (A) TERMÉSZETTUDOMÁNYI SOROZAT 8. (1995) soma caroli" and "Craspedosoma transsilvanicum f. barcsicum", described as a new form) which belong to the taxonomically difficult order Chordeumatida, and cannot be evaluated without a detailed revision of the group (KORSÓS 1994). From the pitfall trap findings, Glomeris hexasticha, Cylindroiulus boleti, Polydesmus complanatus and Polydesmus denticulatus represent widespread species in Hungary, as their habitat, however, mainly natural forests can be considered. Drier biotopes are usually chosen by the species Ommatoiulus sabulosus and Julus terrestris, whereas Megaphyllum unilineatum can be abundant even at agricultural fields. The only polyzoniid species in Hungary, Polyzonium germanicum, is a characteristic litter dweller of large mountain forests, thus its occurrence is interesting in the Dráva Region. All the species listed above were also found by LOKSA in the Bares Landscape Protection Area. Six millipede species were recorded from the pitfall traps, which are not present in LOKSA'S list. Common forest dwellers are: Craspedosoma rawlinsii, Megaphyllum projectum, Leptoiulus proximus and Strongylosoma stigmatosum. The beautiful, brown and yellow Polydesmus collaris is only known in Hungary from the southwestern part; a number of new localities could be proved now. An interesting polydesmid, Polydesmus edentulus was also recorded (Fig. 1), which had previously been known only from two localities in Transdanubia (Kovácsi Hill in the Keszthely Mts., and Szakonyfalu at the western country border, LOKSA 1958, 1961). The millipede fauna of the Dráva Region can completely be analysed only after the more detailed, extensive specialists' collectings, which have been started in 1995 in the framework of the general faunistical and floristical exploration of the area.
