The mollusc fauna of the Béda-Karapancsa landscape protection area, South Hungary. András VARGA This area of about 65 sq. km., which was declared as a landscape protection area in the year 1989, lays along both riversides of the Southern part of Danube. It has been disregarded with a view to malacofaunistic. 63 mollusc species were presented from here by GEBHARDT (1961). The examination of landscape protection area was started again in 1989 on the initiative of the organs of natural protection, by Á. Uherkovich' organizing activity. Recent paper intends to realize three aims: 1. To publish the materials were collected during three years (1989-1991); 2. To revise data of GEBHARDT'S (1961) paper; 3. To collect together all data of other publications containing informations about this area. In the paragraph "Systematic enumeration of species" the data of all species are divided into three parts, marking by А, В and C, according to the three aims (see above).
