172 NATURA SOMOGYIENSIS cies (.Aeshna viridis , Gomphus flavipes , Leucorrhinia caudalis, Leucorrhinia pectoralis, Ophiogomphus cecilia). The most important species of the South Trandanubian fauna is the strictly protected and Natura 2000 species Cordulegaster heros. The faunistical list with data of sampling sites is the largest part of this volume. A short remark on the species refers to their distribution in Hungary, the South Transdanubian hills - always figured in the UTM map. This is followed by a short description of the life history of some species and a phenological diagram. Finally, there is an itemized sampling data, which contains the imagoes, larvae and exuvia separately following the usual practice in faunistical papers related to dragonflies. The list of references closes the book. The manuscript was closed on 31 s t March 2010. The photographs were taken by the author.
