was found in the course of road construction works in Cegléd-Madarászhalom //. Kis­Varjas domb. Carved pillars of the church had been also unearthed. Traces of unique building techniques were found in the site of Cegléd-Birincsek in 1990. The extremely massive foundation of the church was made in the herringbone techniquei (opus spica­tum). In Érd brick floor was unearthed during the excavation. Shaped bricks were dis­covered in Nagykőrös-Boldogasszonyhalom, Cegléd-Birincsek. It was used for the deco­ration of the interior space, e.g. that of a column, half-column, altar, choir, window or doorway. 252
