Művészeti központok Pest megyében - Bakonyvári M. Ágnes: Gödöllő képzőművészete 1945 után

Márta Bada studied painting with Iván Remsey. Her main concerns are gipsy life, plein air landscapes with a touch of the exotic and exotic mythical fantasies. After the comprehensive show of 1975 there was a ten-year break and collective shows reopened in 1986 and 1987 under the title „Background View" introducing young artists who have settled recently in Gödöllő. The forte of local artists seem to lie in textile art or photography which are represented by Erzsébet Katona Szabó's traditionally woven modern textiles and the photos of Zsolt Barcza, Ferenc Fuszenecker, Károly Kineses, Albert Kresz and Csaba Winkler. Zoltán Debreczeni's pastells are remarkable for their intimate atmosphere. Dénes Fábián represents spiritual processes by stylized human figures and symbolic patches of colours. Magdolna Végvári's pictures reflect the playful aspects of art. Sculpture has the least traditions in town. Eszter Miró produces rather programmatic works made at commissions which therefore have no direct relations to local traditions. József Petrovics's bronze statues, stone and wooden sculptures are built on the study of man and nature in a clear, crystallized, often abstract form which recall ancient symbols.
