D. In our study we are dealing with the Roman troops and soldiers who were on detached service. In connection with the altar of Mars Gradivus discovered at Budapest-Gellért Public Baths we cannot find out that the Legio VII Claudia had stayed in Aquincum. The Legio IV. Flavia deputized in Aquincum in 206—7 A, D. The inscriptions of the Legio I adiutrix were prepared after 214 and their owners mostly stayed at the centre of ,the governor with the aim of training. In connection with the inscriptions of the auxiliary soldiers which were found at Aquincum we cannot prove that they have been to Aquincum in service. The inscribed stones from Ujpest-Rákospatak were not found in situ therefore we have a presentiment of the presence of the Legio II adiutrix here. There was a beneficiar station at Nagytétény in the 3rd century where the beneficiarius consularis of the Legio II adiutrix did their service. The inscribed stones from Vác and Fót were taken from the Aquincum territory. A soldier of the Legio II adiutrix stayed at Szentendre in service between 222 and 235 A. D. According to the inscriptions discovered at Visegrád it seems probable that the soldiers of the Legio II adiutrix and the cohors I milliaria nova Severiana Surorum have been to there. 37
