Egyéni kiállítások Deim Pál első egyéni kiállítása 1965-ben nyílt meg a budapesti MednyánszkyTeremben. A kiállítás anyagát a hatvanas évek elején, elsősorban a főiskolai tanulmányai alatti és utáni időszakban festett képek alkották, amelyek tematikailag szentendrei városképek, tájképek, illetve illusztrációk voltak. Nagy I Idikóa kiállításró lírott kritikájában hangsúlyozta annak jelentőségét, hogy Deim vállalta az Európai Iskola hagyományát és mindezt művészetébe olvasztva egyéni látásmódot képvisel.8 Ugyanebből az időszakból származik az Esti hangulat (1960), amely az archívum elfeledett darabjaként mellőzve volt és nem szerepelt még kiállításon illetve publikációban, valamint az Elhagyott gyártelep (1962), amely ötven évig Deim Pál műtermében, egy doboz aljára szögezve rejtőzött. A művész nemrég talált rá az elfeledett művekre, amelyeket akkor nem tartott kiállításra alkalmasnak, így a jelen kiállításon érdekes kontrasztként szolgálnak a jól ismert, kanonizált művek mellett. Individual exhibitions Pál Deim's first individual exhibition opened in 1965 at the Mednyánszky Hall, in Budapest. The material of the exhibition mainly consisted of pictures painted after his college years, in the early 60s. As for their theme, they were townscapes of Szentendre, landscapes and illustrations. In her review written about the exhibition, Ildikó Nagy emphasised the significance of the fact that Pál Deim identified himself with the tradition of the European School, and represented an individual way of seeing things by mixing it into his own art.8 The picture entitled Evening Mood (1960), created in this period, has been hidden in his studio and has not been exhibited or published yet. Another forgotten painting is the Abandoned factory (1962), which had been hiding at the bottom of a box for fifty years until the artist found it not long ago.
