csak egy magyar, egy Tájképet szentendrei műgyűjtő vett meg. Feltételezhetően szintén itt készülhetett az Frdőrésziet (Erdő mélye) című alkotás, amelyet 1925-ben mutatott be itthon, a Szinyei Merse Társaság jubileumi kiállításán.

40 Egy másik összeírás az alábbi, feltehetően Barbizonban és annak környékén készült alkotások címeit tartalmazza: Sziklás táj, Tájkép a fontainebleau-i erdőben. Erdei kép Bélával, Hat fenyő, Célyi boglyák, Száraz fatörzs, Macherini falu, Sziklás táj, Cséplés, Kilátó, Erdei kép, Párizsi út, Macherini tájkép, Erdei kép a route de Sullynál, Napsütéses táj (Franchard), Sziklás táj (Franchard) fenyőkkel. 41 és egy viszonylag összefüggőnek tekinthető grafikai sorozatot, amely könnyed tus- illetve diófapác rajzokból áll. A Lebegő szikla című rajzon egy festőfigura is látszik, feltételezhetően Onódi Béla.

42 Minthogy a művész által összeírt műveknél a kivitelezési technika nincs megjelölve, lehet, hogy ez azonos a korábban említett Erdei kép Bélával című művel. A rajz az 1923-as nyarat örökíti meg, és a papír minősége alapján ugyanehhez az évhez köthető néhány másik grafika is.

45 Tudjuk, hogy 1924-ben Jeges Paizs Goebellel és Varga Alberttel a Barbizontól pár kilométerre fekvő településen, Macherinben kapott szállást. Ezt az időszakot örökíti meg egy itt készült, 1924. augusztus 20-án kelt fotó, gnit six tableaux au cours du premier été qu'il passa à Barbizon. Lorsqu'il écrit un compte-rendu de son voyage d'études en France à la Société Szinyei Merse, Jeges mentionne déjà l'existence de trente œuvres achevées

On peut également y lire l'aveu que Jeges ne sut pendant très longtemps par quel bout prendre le paysage français qu'il trouvait trop riche en couleurs : « Cet été je me suis à nouveau installé à proximité de la forêt de Barbizon - etje présenterai les tableaux que j'y ai peints la prochaine fois, quoique j'aie le plus grand mal à me faire aux paysages français. » / L'artiste tint à jour un catalogue jusqu'en 1940

, qui d'abord tenait compte des ventes des œuvres classées par ordre de création, mais qui finit par se poursuivre en négligeant les dates d'achèvement et de vente de l'œuvre. Ce registre rend compte du sort dévolu aux tableaux de Barbizon : selon lui, les deux paysages barbizoniens de Jeges furent achetés par un journaliste parisien et l'œuvre intitulée Paysage avec arbre se retrouva elle aussi en la possession d'un Parisien. Le paysage de Macherin échut à un collec• tionneur compatriote après le retour en Hongrie de Jeges. Ce même collectionneur acheta le dessin de László Paál retrouvé à Barbizon qu'Ernő Jeges avait vendu à Paris par l'intervention d'un commerçant turc

. De même un Hongrois se porta acquéreur du Déta/7 de forêt peint à Fontainebleau et un Paysage fut acheté par un collectionneur de Szentendre. On peut également supposer que c'est là que finit son œuvre Détail de forêt (au cœur de la forêt) qu'il avait présenté au pays en 1925, lors de l'exposition ouverte pour le jubilée de la Société Szinyei Merse

Un second recensement inventorie les titres ci-dessous des œuvres achevées selon toute vraisemblance à Barbizon et ses environs : Paysage rocheux, Paysage dans la forêt de Fontainebleau, Tableau forestier avec Béla, Six sapins, Meules de Cély, Souches d'arbres mortes, Le village de Macherin, Paysage rocheux, Battage du grain, Belvédère, with the French landscape.'

38 In the beginning it contained the sales in the order of when the works were painted, but later it continued without the date on which the painting was finished and the date of sale. This register tells us about the fate of the Barbizon paintings: two of Jeges's Barbizon landscapes were purchased by a Parisian journalist, and Landscape with Tree was also privately purchased in Paris. His Macherin landscape was purchased by a Hungarian collector after Jeges returned home. The same collector bought the László Paál drawing found in Barbizon, which Ernő Jeges sold in Paris on the orders of a Turkish merchant.

39 The Fontainebleau Part of a Forest was also purchased by a Hungarian, and Tájkép (Landscape) was bought by a Szentendre collector. Part of a ForestDeep in the Forest, which was also probably painted here, was exhibited in Hungary in 1925 at the jubilee exhibition of the Szinyei Merse Society.
