Régi Művésztelep megmentése, szellemi örökségének ápolása mellett foglaltunk állást. / Erre irányuló, több éves törekvésünk során 1999-ben mutatkoztak az említett konfliktus enyhülésének jelei. Ekkor rendeztük meg a „70 éves Szentendrei Régi Művésztelep a millennium évében" című kiállítást - amely a magyar államalapítás ezredik évfordulójára készülve - az országos ünnepségsorozathoz kapcsolódott. / A hagyományteremtés gondolatával a tagság alkotásaiból minden évad végén megrendezésre kerül az Őszi Tárlat a Művésztelepi Galériában, és ezt a telepen nyaranta dolgozó nagybányai vendégművészek művei egészítik ki. így rendszeresítettük a nyári alkotómunka bemutatását. / Az ezredforduló ünnepén a művésztelep 75 éves jubileumáról emlékeztünk meg a budapesti Vigadó Galériában tartott kiállítással, melynek fővéd- о nöke a Magyar Köztársaság akkori elnöke, Mádl Ferenc volt. Az anyagot külföldön is bemutattuk. A szentendrei művészet és a Régi Művésztelep történetének első vándorkiállítása olyan európai városokba jutott el, mint Róma, Bécs, Berlin, Stuttgart, Tartu, Tallinn, a finnországi Mikkeli vagy Kassa. / Az időzítés jónak bizonyult, hisz Európában éledőben volt a művésztelepi mozgalom. A Szentendrei Régi Művésztelep újra intenzív kapcsolatot létesített a nagybányai művészteleppel. Csatlakozott az Európai Művésztelepek Hálózatához, majd - elsőként a kelet-európai régióból - a brüszszeli központú Európai Múvésztelepek Szövetségéhez, az EuroArthoz, mely 1994-óta az Európai Parlament és az Európai Bizottság védnöksége alatt működik. 2005-ben Egyesületünk és Szentendre 14 Barbizon francia és magyar ecsettel Barbizon-sous le pinceau des Français et des Hongrois J В tion Culturelle de l'Ancienne Colonie d'artistes de Szentendre représentant la continuité de nos droits pour protester contre ces mesures. Dans notre manifeste nous nous déclarâmes pour la sauvegarde et la préservation de l'héritage spirituel de l'Ancienne Colonie d'artistes vieille de près de sept décennies. / Suite à nos efforts de plusieurs années dans ce but, les premiers signes d'un apaisement à ce conflit se manifestèrent en 1999. A cette époque nous avions organisé l'exposition intitulée « Les 70 ans de l'Ancienne Colonie d'artistes de Szentendre à l'heure du millénium » - préparant la commémoration du millième anniversaire de la fondation de l'Etat hongrois - qui se rattacha à la série des festivités nationales. / L'Exposition d'Automne qui présente les créations des membres de la colonie est à chaque fin de saison organisée à la Galerie de la Colonie dans le souci de créer une tradition, et est complétée par les oeuvres des artistes invités de Nagybánya qui travaillent l'été à la colonie. C'est ainsi que nous avons institutionnalisé l'exposition du travail estival de création. Nous avons commémoré le jubilée des 75 ans de la colonie pendant les festivités du tournant du millénaire avec une exposition dans la Galerie Vigadó de Budapest, dont le président du comité de patronage était le président de la République de Hongrie de l'époque, Ferenc Mádl. Nous avons également présenté notre collection à l'étranger.
