1957 On 7-29 September, Géza Gorka's collective show was opened in the National Salon, on the occasion of the 40 th anniversary of his artistic activity. 1958 World Expo, Brussels, Grand Prix Participated in the I8' h International Ceramic Competition of Eaenza. Study tour in Italy. 1959 Some of his works got in the International Ceramic Museum of Faenza. Received Merited Artist of the Hungarian People's Republic award. Took part in the International Ceramic Exhibi­tions of Gmunden and Ostende, 1962 At Prague AIC Congress International Modem Ceramics Exhibition, he was awarded the silver medal of the international Ceramics Association. In the Budapest Workshop of Design Company, a series of his 12 works was produced, under the artist's control. 1963 Became the foreman of the jury of the Council of Applied Arts. Received the 2nd grade of Kossuth Prize. 1964 Individual show in Palóc Museum, Balassagyarmat. Collective exhibition in Csók István Gallery, Budapest. 1967 Began to produce windows and lights made of glass combined with ceramics. Received the title „Professor of honour ol the Hungarian Academy of Applied Arts". 1968 Collective show in Salamon Tower, Visegrád. 1969 On the occasion of his 75 th birthday, he received the „Gold Gtade of Work Award". 1970 Established a ceramics class at the Summer Free Art School of Zebegény. Received the grand prize of the jury at the 2 nd national Ceramics Biennial in Pécs. 1971 On 25 September, he died at the zenith of his creative powers. His monument can be seen in the graveyard of Verőce. 1972 On 29 April, Gorka Ceramic Museum was opened in the one-time family house. 1996 The village of Verőce awarded Géza Gorka posthumous honorary citizenship.
