Model designs for village houses in Upper Hungary (now Slovakia) and Sub-Carpathia (now Ukraine) destroyed in the First World War. 1916 Publishes a book on peasant architecture entitled Cserényes házak (Szekler houses) (Táltos Publishing House, Budapest), gives an account of his own work in Hímes udvar (Flowery Courtyard) (Published by Táltos, Budapest). 1917 Régi kert s míesei (Ancient gardens and their cultivators) (Published by Táltos, Budapest) 1918-19 Becomes a teacher of interior design and landscape gardening at the Royal Hungarian School of Applied Arts. 1918-23 State apartment houses in Pongrác út, Budapest 1920s and 30s Modern style drawings for houses some of which are constructed 1921 The first architect to receive the grand prize of the Hungarian Fine Arts Society. 1922 Casino in Tatabánya with Béla Jánszky. From 1922 to the age of 65, he again leads the master course for post-graduates named Hungarian Home at the School of Applied Arts. 1920s Furnishes the villa at Páfrány utca 9 and writes several series of articles on the culture of architecture and the environment in Magyarság (Hungarians), Új Idők (Modern Times) and Magyar Kőművesmesterek Lapja (Journal of Hungarian Master masons). 1923 His book A kert (The garden), his design for the Museum of Ethnography in Budapest 1926 He is appointed adviser to the Head of State. Toroczkai buys and rebuilds a house in Buda at Gül Baba utca 24. 1928 He takes part in the Finno-Ugrian Congress in Budapest with a lecture on Hungarian architecture. 1927-29 Country houses are built using his early plans in vernacular style. 1932 The Bouwkundig Weekblad (Holland) edits a special issue on his work. 1933 The 'state forest day-school' in Gödöllő. His writings appear in Építőmunka (Construction). 1935 Opening of Toroczkai's Szekler museum at Szentháromság utca 3 in the Buda Castle district. 1936 A book entitled Architectúra appears summarizing his oeuvre to date. 1945 Ede Toroczkai Wigand dies.
