Itt minden apró jelnek szimbólumértéke van. A Golgota II. című kép labirintusszerűen osztott mezejében álló vörös négyszögek a számmisztika kiemelt számai szerint csoportosulnak. Az 1-es szám az őskezdet, a teremtés, a teremtő száma, a kezdeményező erőt, az energiát jelenti. A 3-as a világ rendjének hármas osztottságára utal, mint a szellem - test - lélek, a születés - élet -halál, a múlt - jelen - jövő, vallás - tudomány - művészet, a kereszténységben a szentháromság jele. A számmisztika a törvényes rend, erkölcs számaként tartja nyilván, de jelent művészi hajlamot, optimizmust, haladó gondolkodást, vallást, hitet, sorsot és végzetet is. Az 5-össel Püthagorasz az emberi egységet írta le, ahol együtt vannak a test, az állati lélek, a psziché, az értelem és az isteni szellem. A számmisztika az 5-öst a vallás számának tartja, de az okkult tudományokat, a mágiát és a misztikát ezzel a számmal azonosítja. A szabályszerűség, a számok, a geometrikus formák meghatározottsága mellett azonban kontrasztként, ellenpontként ott áll a természet alkotta fa - naturális anyagával, szabálytalan alakzataival, erezeteivel -, amely a papírmunkákat kivéve minden művén új színként is jelen van. The cross with equal arms plays an important role among Péter Bereznai's recurring basic motifs, referring to the ancient, non-clerical times when the institution of religion still did not exist and people turned to the Creator with natural belief. In Bereznai's art the origo of spirituality and sacral existence, the place of the human being is at the intersection of the horizontal and the vertical. Here, every tiny sign has a symbolic meaning. The red squares in the labyrinth-like field of Golgotha II are grouped according to the most important numbers of numerology. 1 is the number of the primordial beginning, creation and the Creator, symbolising initiative power and energy. 3 refers to the tripartite structure of the world order: mind - body - soul, birth - life - death, past - present - future, religion - science and art. In Christianity, number 3 is the symbol of the Holy Trinity. In numerology, it represents the rule of law and morality, but it might also mean artistic instinct, optimism, progressive thinking, religion, belief, fate or destiny. According to Pythagoras, number 5 symbolises the wholeness of humans, comprising the body, the animalistic soul, the psyche, the intellect, as well as the divine spirit. In numerology, 5 is the number of religion, but it is also identified with occult sciences, magic and mysticism. The regularity and the subtly painted clear-cut character of his numbers and geometrical forms are contrasted with the natural material, the irregular shapes and nervure of wood, which is present as a new colour in all of his works, except for those created on paper. On the other hand, the material holy trinity of his paintings becomes complete due to the use of created wood, industrial paint and acrylic or ink bearing traces of the human hand.
