which we wish to continue in the future in a more modern and methodologically developed form. Based on the good relationship and close cooperation with local educational institutions for several years we organize and perform various play lessons, museum lessons, thematic activities/days and holiday programs for children connected to our permanent exhibition units. These public education and museumpedagogical programs are organically connected to the collections of the museum, since our main goal is to introduce and elaborate materials in the collections in a playful way during the programs, and to display them at a high standard through our exhibitions.

By September 2009 our museumpedagogical efforts had brought the hoped success. At the ’Opening of the museumpedagogical year’ in the Hungarian National Gallery the Museum of Pásztó got the National Museumpedagogical Award of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Educational and Training Centre of Museums of the Open-air Ethnographical Museum in the category „The Best Museumpedagogical Initiative” under the title ’Museum Week - Playful Adventures in Past Ages - Museum Plays in the Museum of Pásztó’.

The museum in Pásztó is awaiting groups of educational institutions in the future as well! We would like to continue the already started and successful award winning museumpedagogical activities extended to a broader area! The future lies with the growing-up generation but it is our responsibility to teach them to preserve, care for, cultivate our cultural treasures to safeguard them for mankind for a long time.
