In our study, we examine the poetic world of János Balázs, analyze the motifs and symbols that make up his artistic universe.

János Balázs (1905-1977) is now known as a renowned European painter. Descendant of a Gipsy family in Upper Hungary, who lived in Salgótarján from the age of five at the Gypsy mountain on Pécskődomb. Here he went through the hell depth of poverty, vulnerability, exclusion and solitude. His art sprouted and was nourished from this soil. From here, he started up high to create a new world as a planet director in his poems, a new Globe, where he is a free and happy man.
