THE WAR DIARY OF KÁROLY PATAK IN THE FIRST WORLD WAR

The war diary of Károly Patak in the First World War has been located in the Head National Archives of Losonc as a unit of the National Archives of Besztercebánya, in Slovakia. Károly Patak born in Martonvásár being applied as a permanent teacher of the Grammar School of Losonc joined the forces voluntarily. Passing the military training in Hajmáskér he battled along the Eastern front line as a sergeant in the 16 th Hungarian royal gunner regiment. His war diary contain records from 30th January to 18th May 1915 to his date of death. His war diary has been published without any omission in this volume.
