Crime Chronicles Crime Cases Reflected in Early 20th Century Press in Nógrád by Noémi Kazareczki

While looking for information on local history in the press of Nógrád county, mainly in the „News” column containing most information on local inhabitants, the author noticed such titles as: Theft, Hold-up, Fight, Murder, Suicide’. These made her curious and so the collecting of these shocking, sometimes tragic cases took place to make the base for this study. The search focused on two newspapers of Nógrád bearing importance for the county (Nógrádi Hírlap, Szécsényi Hírlap) in the first quarter of the 20th century.
