Természettudomány - Pászti Andrea: Az Eger környéki oligocén Tardi Agyag halmaradványai

Abstract The Oligocène Tard Clay is a well known formation in the Northern part of Hungary. The studied section is in the road-cut between Eger and Noszvaj. These rocks contain numerous fish remains (body fossils, scales) and plant macrofossils and the investigation of these fish fossils goes back to the early 1900

's. After Wilhelm Weiler and Boleslaw Böhm pioneering works nobody investigated them for a long time. In my work I re-examined the collections of Natural History Museum, Geological Institute of Hungary and Mátra Museum at Gyöngyös. In addition, I collected somé other remains from the studied Kiseged section and all of these fossils are the part of my work. On the basis of my examination I could be able to separate 14 species of Oligocène fishes. It seems that the fauna of Kiseged is closely related with to faunas in the CentralParatethys. 264
