Természettudomány - Hír János: A Kárpát-medence középső miocén rágcsálófaunáinak rövid áttekintése

JÁNOS HÍR A short sketch of the Middle Miocène rodent faunas in the Carpathian Basin The aim of this paper is to collect the few data of the Middle Miocène fossil rodents from the territory of Slovakia, Hungary and Románia. The results are demonstrated in chronological tables. The chronological -stratigraphical framework is after DAXNER-HÖCK (2001). The localities Sámsonháza, Mátraszőlős and Felsőtárkány were described by HÍR (2001), thèse descriptions are not reinterpreted here. 1. Neudorf This locality is known from the early 20 th century (FEJFAR 1974, 1990). The carstic fissure filling is found close to the city Bratislava (= Pozsony). The faunái list is after HOLEC & SABOL (1996). The stratigraphical position is MN 6 zone (DE BRUIJN et al 1992). 2. Hasznos The fossiliferous diatomit is situated at the Southeastern slope of the Vár -hegy (Castel Hill) of Hasznos (Mátra Mountains, Northern Hungary). Systematic collections and special studies were published by KORDOS (1981,1986, 2002). The stratigraphical position is MN 6 zone. After the opinion of the présent author Hasznos is older, than Sámsonháza. The latter locality produced Middle Badenian molluscs and microvertebrate of the MN 6 zone. 3. Szentendre The locality was found in the Cseresznyés Trench close to the historical town Szentendre. The excavation and the élaboration was managed by KORDOS (1982). The stratigraphical position of the rodent matériái is similar to Hasznos. 4. Tagad, (=Tasád) The geographical position of the locality is Western Románia, Southern foreland of the Padurea Craiului Mountains (=Királyerdő), close to the city Oradea (^Nagyvárad). The excavation was managed by Márton Venczel. After the rieh mollusc fauna Early Sarmatian, Volchynian substage was classified as stratigraphical position by KÓKAY in (HÍR et al 2001). 5. Comânegti 1. Situated in Western Románia at the Southwestern foreland of the Codru Moma Mountains (=Béli -hegység). The first description was given by FERU et al (1980). Latter a special study of the cricetid molars was published by RÂDULESCU & SÁMSON (1988). The stratigraphical position is Early Sarmatian (Volchynian) after the rieh mollusc fauna. The missing of the common éléments in the two Románián fauna (in spite of the similar chronological situation) is an unsolved problem. 30
