Tanulmányok - Természettudomány - Hír János: Felső miocén aprógerincesek Egyházasdengelegről
Ml-2 The shape of the occlusal surface is rectangular. The highest cusp is the paracone. Ail the 4 ridges of the toothcrown are connected to the protocone. A small mesostyle is developed in only one molar (95.78.). M3 The shape of the occlusal surface is subtriangular. It is dominated by the taloné basin. The enamel in this basin is finely rugosed. In the anterior portion of the tooth, a parallel-developed anterolophe and protolophe can be found. p4 The shape of the occlusal surface is trapezoid. The structure of this molar is somewhat différent from the description of Daxner-Höck, 1975 and Weerd, 1976. In the toothcrown from Egyházasdengeleg, the cuspula of the anteroconulid is also well emphasized on the side of the protoconid and metaconid. ml-2 The shape of the occlusal surface is rhomboid and it is dominated by the talonid basin. The highest cusp is the metaconid. The anterior cingulum is well developed but does not bear an anteroconid. The trigonid basin and the protolophid are incipient. The posterolophid closes the talonid basin on the lingual and posterior sides. There is a small mesoconid. Neither a mesolophid nor an entolophid developed. m3 the shape of the occlusal surface is subtriangular. The talonid basin is elongated and the hypoconid is strong. The enamel of the talonid basin is finely rugosed. The structure of the anterior portion of the toothcrown is similar to the ml-2 molars but the trigonid basin is kmore reduced and forms a furrow between the anterolophid and the protoconid. The mesoconid is stronger than the homologuous conelets of the ml-2 molars. The mesolophid and the entolophid are missing. Comments In the Miocène of Southwestern Europe the Spermophilinus genus is well known from a large number of localities. The species Spermophilinus bessanus - S. bredai - S. turolensis form an evolutionary line. In this process, the most important trend is the increase of the dental measurements (Weerd, 1976; Cuenca Bescos, 1988). In Central Europe, Spermophilinus was reported from the following localities: — Kohfidisch: Spermophilinus cf. bredai (Bachmayer et Wilson 1970, 1978, 1980). — Eichkogel: Spermophilinus bredai-turolensis (Daxner-Höck, 1975). — Széchenyi-hegy: Scirus sp. (Kretzoi, 1980). This matériái was studied by the author of this paper and it seems to be determinable as S. turolensis. Sciuridae gen et sp. indet. (Fig. 12.) Material: lm3 (95.66.), measurements: L:1.92; W: 1.81. The contour of the toothcrown is rounded and the occlusal surface is rather fiat: the talonid basin is not emphasized and the main cusps are underdeveloped and blunt. The anterolophid is strong, the metaconid is complicated. The author' s knowledge is insufficient to give an identification. Família: Muridae Gray, 1821 Subfamília: Murinae Murra, 1866 176
