Szardonix, tejfehér-sötétkék rétegű. Felülete fényezett. 2 x 2,5 cm. Antik aranyfoglalata áttört peltasorral (opus interrasile) van körülvéve. Átm.: 3 x 3,6 cm. Kora: koracsászárkori. Sziklán ülő Ganymédés oldalról, felső testét köpenye takarja, fejéről lepel hullik vállára. Egyik kezével a mögötte lévő sziklatömbre támaszkodik, a másikkal ölében kantharost tart. Vele szemben felemelt szárnyú sas áll fél lábbal a földön, fél lábbal az ifjú térdére támaszkodva, és a kantharosból készül inni. Alapvonal. Az alakok oldalnézetből, enyhén a néző felé fordítva vannak ábrázolva, a nyugodt, kiegyensúlyozott kompozíció és a gondos kidolgozás koracsászárkori munkára vall. Its antique mounting is rounded with filigree pelta lines (opus interrasile). Diam.: 3 x 3,6 cm. Early imperial period. Ganymede in profile sitting on a rock, his upper body is covered by a cloak while, from his head a veil is falling onto his shoulder. With one hand he leans against the rock behind him, in the other one he holds a kantharos in his lap. An eagle is standing on one leg opposite him with its wings up and with the other leg it leans against the youth's knee and preparing to drink from the kantharos. Groundline. The figures are depicted in profile facing slightly towards the spectator, calm, balanced composition and the detailed engraving refers to a work from the early imperial period.
