each of the listed conditions is mostly satisfied, and statements by those affected strengthen the premise that they can be listed among scholars who have a Hungarian identity. Of course Tódor Kármán, Leó Szilárd and György Hevesy also belong among them, although they do not satisfy the last of the conditions listed above: they themselves, as they did not consider the question to be of any import, did not confirm their Hungarian identity, attachment to Hungarian culture or schooling in any surviving manifestation. Finally it can be announced that each of the individuals participating in the study had very strong Hungarian connections and roots, making their scientific work something that we can be proud of, for - if in considerably varying measure - their successes and world renown were to one extent or another the result of Hungarian education and science.
