BÁLINT MARIANNA: ÚJABB RÉGÉSZETI KUTATÁSOK BÖSZÖRMÉNY FALU TERÜLETÉN. MEGJEGYZÉSEK AZ ÁRPÁD-KORI FALU EDÉNYKÉSZLETÉHEZ Marianna Bálint New archaeological researches in the territory of Böszörmény village. Observations on the pottery of the Árpádian Age village Hajdúböszörmény-Téglagyár is the best known archaeological site of the region, what raises the most questions as well. Despite the importance of the site, only a small part of it was excavated yet. The excavations carried out in a few thousand square metres, brought a lot of new results to the interpretation and evaluation of the material found in the area of the Árpádian Age Böszörmény village. The latest archaeological research was carried out in 2014 by the Hajdúsági Museum. On the examined approx. 100 m2 area, four Árpádian Age houses appeared along with wheat storage pits between them. The uncovered artefacts and the excavated features provide us some new data to determine the extent, structure and chronological limit of the village. The flask fragments found among the large amount of the excavated pottery sherds further modulate our knowledge on the composition of the village’s ceramic set. Most of the flask found in Böszörmény fit into the Árpádian Age pottery. A thin walled, made on a fast wheel, well-made flask with orange englobe on its surface, fundamentally differs in its material and technology from the flasks made from white burned clay. This flask is quite unique in the Árpádian Age material, probably not a Byzantine import piece, but a local imitation with a Byzantine. 269
