This species was published from Hungary under the name Hydroptila simulans MOSELY erroneously С NÓGRÁDI 1985a). Subsequent to this, some other papers gave again this erroneus determination. In 1990 all "simulans" specimens of the collection of Janus Pannonius Museum were re-examined and corrected. It turned out that H. simulans does not occur in Hungary, but H. angustata is pretty common С Fig. 5). Hydroptila dampfi ULMER, 1929. Only four localities of this species have been known from Hungary: Bares, Magyarszombatfa, Kállósemjén and Budapest. It was frequent at Magyarszorabatfa, where more than four hundred specimens were captured. At other three localities H. occulta was collected only once or twice С Fig. 6).
