FAUNISTICAL REMARKS Asynarchus lapponicus ZETT. The most important and most interesting result was the discovery of this species in Slovakia. It was indicated by B0T0SÄNEANU and MALICKY (1978) from the northern part of Europe and the Eastern Balkans. Is was a surprise to us when we found it at the spring of River Hron, near Svermovo (cca. 950 m a. s. 1.), on September 19, 1985. According to the paper cited above it lives in stagnant waters. At the collecting spot we found only running waters, except a small contrete basin at the spring. In the environs there are peat bogs, also. It may be a glacial relict species. This species proved to be new for the fauna of Czechoslovakia. Fig. 2. Male genitals of Asynarchus lapponicus ZETT. a с = caudal, d = titilator 2. ábra. It lives in the Western Balkans and the Carpathians. From Slovakia it was reported by SYKORA (1963), later by NOVAK and OBR (1966). Only one specimen, a male was swept along a forest creek near Gemerská Poloma, at 900 ma. s. 1. Apatania carpathica SCHMID. Since its desription this species was caught in few localities only. SYKORA (1963), and NOVAK and OBR (1966) mentioned it from Slovakia. We collected some specimens along a creek running across a boggy meadow at Doeiná, Dankova. Phacopteryx (Anabolia) brevipennis CURT. It is a relatively rare species (NOVAK and OBR 1966). In Hungary it was collected recently (NÓGRÁDI 1984, NÓGRÁDI and UHERKOVICH 1988). Both specimens were swept along the River Hron in September The Hungarian specimens were collected from May till July. Chaetopteryx polonica DZIEDZ. It occurs in the Northern Carpathians and Northern Moravia (BOTOSANEANU and MALICKY 1978). SYKORA (1963), and NOVAK and OBR (1966) recorted its Slovakian occurrence. RIEDEL (1962) did not mention this species from the High Tatras. We collected several specimens at Tatranská Polianka among others, thus it is new for these mountatins. Pseudopsilopteryx zimmeri McL. A species of the Alps, the Carpathians and other mountains of'middle heights in Central Europe. MAYER (1939a) reported it from Czechoslovakia. RIEDEL (1962) did not know it from the High Tatras. NOVAK and OBR (1966) noted its occurrence here. We collected several specimens at 13 localities .
