Szeniczey Tamás: Az Apcon feltárt avar kori temetkezések embertani vizsgálata

Wentz, Rachel - De Grummond, Nancy 2009 Life on Horseback: Palaeopathology of Two Scythian Skeletons from Alexandropol, Ukraine. International Journal ofOsteoarchaeology 19.107-115. Tamás Szeniczey ANTHROPOLOGICAL EXAMINATION OF THE AVAR PERIOD BURIAL SITE FINDS FROM APC During excavations, led by János Győző Szabó in 1963-64, Avar Period graves were found in the village of Ape (Heves County) and the nearby gravel-pits. Human remains were unearthed in 9 graves, out of which the skeletal remains of 8 were available for our anthropological examination. The anthropological material was fragmented and incomplete. We were able to identify the remains of 3 men, 3 women and two children. The number of pathological changes was low, mostly traces of mild degenerative joint diseases were identifiable. In the case of one male we found evidence of a fractured left clavicle and a fractured ulna. The fractures healed differently. The clavicle showed signs of severe axial deformity and scar tissue formation, while the alignment of the broken ulna was perfect. 1. táblázat: Ape környéki avarkori emberi maradványok nemi és életkori alapadatai Lelőhely Évszám Sírszám Nem Kor Apc-Berekalja Homokbánya 1963-nő?30-59 Apc-Berekalja Homokbánya 1964 1 férfi 35-39 Apc-Berekalja Homokbánya 1964 2 ? 2-3 Apc-Berekalja Homokbánya 1964 3 nő 50-x Apc-Berekalja Homokbánya 1964 4 ? 1,5-2 Apc-Berekalja Homokbánya 1964 5 férfi 30-35 Apc-Fő út 48. 1968-férfi 45-59 Apc, Szórvány ?
