Mónika Gutay - László Bernáth - János Safranka - László Kristóf Rácz ALDEBRŐ-ILONA-TÁBLA - A SCYTHIAN BURIAL MOUND In late August 2017, a Scythian Age burial mound with scattered cremation - a timbergrave - was unearthed in the southeastern part of the site, excavated according to Schedule 6. It contained the remains of a high-born woman. The size of the oblong shaped grave is 330x310 cm, it is oriented E-W| it is 110-205 cm deep, with a post hole in each ofits corners. There was another pit at the bottom of the grave pit, which may have been a sacrificial pit, with a sandstone slab placed at its side. The calcined bones and the ashes were located at the western part of the grave, together with the grave finds. The grave finds include a bronze mirror, a 62- piece whole and fragmented hammered gold ornament, electron spirals, gold beads, electron beads, glass paste, amber and pumice stone beads, bronze bracelets, metal finds, ceramic fragments, a graphite piece, spindle whorls, charcoal, rotten wood pieces and calcined human bones. Two samples from the grave were sent for a radiocarbon dating test. The burnt Scythian bone sample gave a radiocarbon date of2484 ± 30 BP, cal 775-488 BC (DeA-16423). The rotten wood piece from the timber structure gave a radiocarbon date of 4605 ± 31 BP, cal 3505-3336 BC and cal 3209-3138 BC (DeA-16422). 3D printed models of the grave were also made. 105
