Béla Solti Ornithological observations at the Adács catchment area The author is giving ornithological details about the catchment area lying in the outskirts of the Parish of Adács, starting from 1975. As a result of 31 days spent in the field a total of 58 bird species is described. Of these several rarities turned up, some of which have already been published. A number of bird species can be found around the lake, but these are not linked closely to the water (predators, gallinaceous birds, doves, larks, thrushes, crows, starlings, sparrows, chaffinches, yellowhammers, etc.), the lake neither serves as habitat nor as nourishment base for them. There is no mention of these species here. With the review of the observations after the time follows the number in brackets, furthermore data pertinent to age, sex, behaviour or the more precise location of the observation. 99
