Kovács Béla: Az egri minoriták régi temploma és rendháza

Béla Kovács The Old Minorite Church and Friary, Eger The author of this paper has reconstructed the ground plan and the general appearance of the friary church and its outbuildings built by the Minorites on settling in Eger in 1687, before their demolition in 1773. This has been done with the aid of an inventory of the building drawn up in 1749 containing some detailed, and one presumes accurate, measurements of the structure. Using the archive material the author also makes a critical analysis of previous studies, drawing attention to data found in both local histories and work on the Eger Minorites that is either incorrect or inaccurate. In the appendix you can find Hungarian translations of the Latin inventory. 175
