Sári Zsolt: Adalékok az egri káptalan szihalmi birtoka és a falu gazdasági kapcsolatához
Zsolt Sári On the Relationship between the Eger Chapter's Szihalom Estate and the Village Farm The village, which once stood in Borsod County, has been part of Heves County since 1950. For many centuries the Eger Chapter had substantial properties in the village and on its boundaries. This study focuses on the relationship that existed between the chapter properties and the farming community in the realms of crop growing, animal husbandry and grazing. The organisation of statute labour, the consolidation of holdings and the division of land are all covered in some detail. As the village's only owner, the Chapter Estate played an important role in bringing in modern agricultural practices and technologies, while introducing various new species of plants and encouraging the breeding of various animals. 476
