Paládi-Kovács Attila: Népművészeti örökségünk – Heves megye

The basis of the Eger museum's ethnographical collection was established by Ferenc Bakó during the 1950s. Since then, while a large number of objects have been collected, only a disappointing number have been properly catalogued. Within the context of the "Tradition and Survival" research project it has been possible to make the objects available to the general public in the form of digitalised databases, exhibitions, catalogues, as well as a richly illustrated book worthy of the material in question. 1 Given at the opening of the temporary exhibition entitled Our Folk Art Heritage - Heves County at Eger's István Dobó Castle Museum on 2 nd April 2004. 293
