és valódi, nemesfémérték között, így mint ezüst továbbra is érték maradt? A ma még megválaszolhatatlan kérdésre csak a jövő kutatása felelhet. Hóman a leletvizsgálatok mellett a súlyelemzéseket vette legfontosabbnak. 1347 db lemért CNH. I. 65. alapján 0,3637 g-ban állapította meg átlagsúlyát. Természetesen a mi 9 példányunk messze alatta van Hóman 1347 példányának; ám átlagsúlya közel azonos: 0,3644 g. Az átlagsúlymérésnél kétségtelenül csak nagy mennyiség használható. Ugyanis a középkori al marco verési technika lehetővé teszi az azonos típusokon belül is a rendkívül nagy súlyeltérést. Az itt ismertetett leletben például a 47. tétel alatt 4 db CNH. I. 59. szerepel azonos sziglával. A négy példány közül egyik 0,29 g, a másik 0,46 g. A két példány közötti súlyeltérés mindössze 0,17 g, ám ez mégis azt jelenti, hogy a 0,29 g-os veret súlya a másikénak csak 63%-a. Az itt közölt lelet tehát fontos adat a XII. századi magyar pénztörténet kutatásában annak ellenére, hogy a lelőkörülményről semmit sem tudunk, a sziglaváltozatok újat nem hoztak, és mindössze két típust tartalmazott. Ezek egyikének- a CNH. I. 65. -kormeghatározásához azonban számottevőnek véljük. István Gedai Data on the coinage of Béla II One of the most problematic periods in Hungarian monetary history is the 12th century. Namely, the catalogue of Hungarian coins, published in 1979, contains another 116 pieces from this period of a type where the issuers cannot be identified. The method underlying further research is the examination of contemporary finds. Yet, it is just from this century that we do not have finds in large numbers. Recently, coin hoards came to the Hungarian National Museum from an unknown site. These hoards contained 115 denar pieces; 106 of them are of the CNH. I. 59. type (with the legend of BELA REX), minted by Béla II. As well as 9 coins without legend belong to CNH. I. 65. type. Previous research has shown that type CNH. I. 65. is the last issue of Stephen II. (1116-1131), Béla IFs predecessor. Partly on the basis of the find, the possible issuer could also have been Béla II. Some of the 12th century finds, examined here, are of several types. It seems inexplicable, because at that time annually coinage was renewed while at the same time the previously minted money was allowed to lapse. It is therefore a question, how it is possible for several types from different years to occur in the same find. Weighing the find is a basic method in addition to its examination. The „al marco" minting of the Middle Ages produced a fairly wide variation in the possible weight so that only many repeated weighings yield results. Each type may contain very large percentile differences, as in the case of the 4th specimen from the hoard find under discussion here; the specimen weighing the least makes up 63% by weight of the heaviest (although, there is only a 0,17 gram difference). Nevertheless, there are only four pieces within this class of find. The historical, numismatic circumstances make this find significant despite the fact that the circumstances of the find are entirely unknown and it is probable that only fragments of a hoard find are in our possession.
