FERENC BAKÓ, THE MUSEUM ADMINISTRATOR

The museological and ethnographical career of eighty-year-old Ferenc Bakó is bound to Northern Hungary. His career started with organising the museum in Sárospatak in 1950, then he became museum director in Eger in 1952 and later he worked in the same post at the Heves County Museum. He established the county museum network and organised its successful operation. His ethnographic activity is closely connected to his museum work. He has organised and managed the research into Palóc culture.
