P. Szaloy Emőke THE SPOKED ROSE-PATTERNED FLOWER CLUSTER - A SPECIAL VERSION OF 18TH-CENTURY UPPER-CLASS EMBOIDERY The spoked rose-patterned flower duster belongs to the plain patterns of Hungarian upper-class embroidery. To our present knowledge, it is typical ofthe area east ofthe River Tisza. The description ofthe tablecloths has helped to narrow down the possible places of origin ofthe one kept in the Museum of Applied Arts. We suppose that the piece in question was also made in the Trans-Tisza area.
