This process, according to the genetic specificity of the autochthonous populations, ended in the formation of different morphological appearence east and west of the Da­nube. In the eastern territories the population of the Early Copper Age Tisza­polgár culture at the latest phase of the Lengyel culture was more similar to the Lengyel population, due to the spreading of exogamy, than the Tisza popu­lation (Szathmáry, 1980b). 58
