th century. Based on contemporary documents the article traces the process how the stove maker Magyary József of Esztergom settled in Győr through buying Dachauer Ferenc's workshop from his widow. The workshop was originally established by Magner Károly in the 18

th century. This paper also introduces the first document of Magyary's activity in Győr, i.e. his Price List which was published in the Pápai Lapok in 1889. In 1894 he was given the title of Supplier of the Court of Archduke Joseph and in 1903 he issued a new sample book. The company existed until the 1930s. DIE GESCHICHTE DER KACHELOFEN-GEFÄSSFABRIK VON JÓZSEF MAGYARI (EHEMALS FERENC DACHAUER) In unserem Beitrag wollten wir ein fehlendes Kettenglied der győrer Hofnerei bekannt machen, veröffentlichen. Es wurde die Absiedlung des esztergomer (Gran) Hofners József Magyari in Győr, anhand zeitgenössischer Dokumente rekonstruiert, in Folge derer er die Werkstatt von Ferenc Dachauer von dessen Witwe erwarb. Die Werkstatt wurde ursprünglich von Károly Magner im 18. Jahrhundert gegründet. Wir veröffentlichen das erste Dokument Magyarys győrer Wirkens, ein in der Pápai Lapok 1889 erschienener Preiskatalog. 1894 bekam er das Recht den Titel des Hoflieferanten Erzherzog Josefs zu tragen und gab 1903 ein neues Musterbuch heraus. Die Firma bestand bis in die 1930-er Jahre. 422
