PART 2 The geographical conditions of Csanak and its neighbourhood satisfy the natural needs of raspberry, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the social and economic changes after World War II created the optimum conditions of its growing in the examined period, thus the development of the oldest and the second largest region of raspberry growing in Hungary. This paper introduces the work of planting a raspberry field and the work of a productive raspberry field and among them, a method of cultivation developed here. The set of tools of growing was mainly the same as the one used in other vegetal growing, but one also finds a tool particularly used for carrying raspberry, e.g., the "raspberry-cart." The driving force of growing is buying up and selling: "does it worth or not?" The attempt at improving growing, the case of the collective processing plant failed, which - among many other causes contributed to the slow decline of the interest in growing. The local community considerably dealt with growing other berries besides raspberry, these types and their main characteristics are also made known. The "multiplication" and exchange of the local population, the consolidation of the feature of a commuter town, and the changed attitude of people to the work in gardens have resulted in the decline of the significance of raspberry onto its level at the start of growing. Its causes and the possibilities of a new start are considered by the author. Géber József DIE HÄKELSP1TZE DER HEILIGEN JUNGFRAU ODER 120 JAHRE HIMBEERANBAU IN MÉNFÓCSANAK TEIL II Die geographischen Gegebenheiten Csanaks und seiner Umgebung sind geeignet für den Anbau von Himbeeren. Die gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Veränderungen nach dem I. Weltkrieg wiederum schufen die optimalen Bedingungen des Anbaus im untersuchten Zeitraum, so dass sich das älteste und zweitgrößte Himbeeranbaugebiet Ungarns entwickelte. Die Studie zeigt die Arbeiten der Himbeerpflanzung und hinsichtlich der tragenden Früchte, unter anderem auch eine hier entstandene eigene Anbauweise. Der Bestand an natürlichen Mitteln war größtenteils gleich dem bei anderen Pflanzenkulturen angewandten, aber man findet auch ausgesprochen zum Transport der Himbeeren verwendete Geräte, wie beispielsweise den „Himbeerwagen". Aufkauf und Verkauf sind gleichzeitig treibende Kraft des Anbaus: „Lohnt es sich oder nicht?". Versuche, den Anbau anzukurbeln, so das Thema Aufarbeitungsbetrieb einer Produktionsgenossenschaft, sind gescheitert, was neben vielen anderen Gründen dazu führte, dass die Lust am Anbau langsam verkümmerte. Die Bevölkerung des Ortes beschäftigte sich neben dem Anbau der Himbeere auch in beträchtlichem Ausmaß mit dem anderen Beerenobstes, deren Sorten und wesentlichen Merkmale man ebenso kennenlernen kann. Der „Zuwachs" der Bevölkerung, ihr Wechsel, die Zunahme des Charakters einer Satellitenstadt sowie die Veränderung des Verhältnisses der Menschen zur Gartenarbeit ergaben, dass derzeit die Bedeutung der Himbeere auf das Niveau zu Anfang des Anbaus zurückgegangen ist. Der Verfasser der Studie behandelt die Gründe hierfür ebenso wie auch die Möglichkeiten eines Neuanfangs. Géber József 124
