ARRABONA 39. 2001. TANULMÁNYOK Ács Anna: The Croatian's National Costume in Bezenye and Kimle The national costume of the Croatian's of Bezenye and Horvátkimle was formed due to the developing production for the market of the peasants in the second half of the 19

th century and was altered according to it. The existence of an earlier, considering the major elements, more or less uniform Croatian national costume in Moson County can be assumed as a precedence. Our collection could only cover the above two settlements, further research carried out in Burgerland and Slovakia, furthermore thorough comparison with the Croatian national costumes of Hungary may confirm or change our opinion, view. Despite the existing similarities, national costume of the Croatians' living in the Mosonmagyaróvár area differs from the Germans' peasant costumes - living in the Mosoni Plain - as well as from the costumes of the Hungarian population of the region. Considering the details of the costume, civilian features may be detected, but as a whole it is quite obsolescent. Taking the esthetical values of the costume into consideration, it has the most uniform and colourful look among the three national costumes of the ethnic groups of Moson County. Neglecting the national costumes started the latest among the Croatians, their costume represented national identity. Renewal of their traditional clothes these days shows the exploration and appreciation of the values of their popular culture. Anna Acs: Tracht der Kroaten in Bezenye und Kimle Die uns bekannte Volkstracht der Kroaten in Bezenye und Horvátkimle /Kroatisch Kimle/ hat sich als Ergebnis des Aufschwungs bäuerlicher Produktion in der 2. Hälfte des 19Jh.s herausgebildet und in Abhängigkeit davon verändert. Es ist auch die Existenz einer früheren, in ihren wesentlichen Elementen im ganzen Komitat Moson einheitlichen Tracht der hier lebenden Kroaten als Vorgänger anzunehmen. Unsere Sammlung konnte sich nur auf die beiden Gemeinden beziehen, Forschungen im Burgenland und in der Slowakei sowie ein vollständigerer Vergleich mit anderen kroatischen Trachtenformen in Ungarn könnten unsere bisherige Meinung, unser Gesamtbild bestärken oder auch verändern. Die Tracht der im Umkreis von Mosonmagyaróvár lebenden Kroaten unterscheidet sich trotz vorhandener Gemeinsamkeiten von den bäuerlichen Kleidungsformen der Deutschen und Ungarn im Raum der Mosoner Ebene. Im Detail gesehen sind an der Tracht bürgerliche Merkmale zu entdecken, im Ganzen betrachtet ist sie von altmodischem Charakter. Sie ist die einheitlichste und farbigste unter den Trachten der drei ethnischen Gruppen der Mosoner Ebene. Das Ablegen der Tracht bei den Kroaten begann zuletzt, gehörte sie doch zum Ausdruck der nationalen Zugehörigkeit. In unseren Tagen zeugt die Wiederentdeckung und das Wiedertragen der Tracht von der Wiederentdeckung der Werte der Volkskultur. 288
