Somlyóvásárhely (Veszprém county) At the end of the last century X. Darnay has uncovered a settlement of several periods and cemeteries of various types (urn graves, inhumed burials, graves from the migration period, etc.). He did not distinguish between the various finds. Of his presented material 10 we may enlist in our group the folloving objects, as it may be judged by sketches: 1. A two-handled amphora with a cylindrical neck. 2. A one-handled jug with a cylindrical neck (Fig. 1 no. 8). 3. The fragment of a high beaker of a truncated cone-shape (Fig 1 no. 9). 4. A one-handled pot. Finds of S оu th-Ea stern Transd anubia К é t h e 1 y (Somogy county) The prehistoric settlement situated on the Baglyas hill has been presented by B. Kuzsinszky. His finds are . the results of gathering and they came to private hands. Among the published finds there is a Late Copper Age Pecel-type vessel together with Early Bronze Age vases and Early Iron Age objects. The Early Bronze Age specimens belong to our group:ii 1. A one-handled jug with a cylindrical neck, dark grey (PL XIV no. 10). Height: 14 cm. 2. A one-handled fragmentary pot (PL XIV no. 11). 3. A cylindrical beaker with two small handles below the rim (PL XIV no. 9). Height: 10 cm. 4. The fragment of a similar beaker. 5. A high cylindrical beaker, its surface is decorated with a zigzag line incised in two panels (PL XIV no. 6). Height: 9 cm. Lengyel (Tolna county) The material belongs to the second largest settlement of the group. The finds have come to light in course of the excavations executed by M. Wosinszky between 1882 and 1888. He could not observe their self-standing character yet, he presented some typical pieces among the finds of the Stone Age, a few others among those of the Bronze Age. The vases and sherds of the Early Bronze Age were evidently only „by-products" of the excavations. Probably their thin layer of settlement was annihilated by the more important settlements, following one after the other from the Middle Bronze Age to the Early Iron Age. 10 K.
