no. 10). 3. Bulgy one-handled Nagyrév jug. Black. (PI. XV no. 12) Among the Nagyrév vessels brought into the National Museum from Szigetszentmiklós the one-handled Nagyrév jug belongs to our type too (PI. XV no. 7), together with a one-handled goblet (PL XV no. 6). — Two vessels of the National Museum, the sites of which cannot be ascertained any more, come from the same area most probably (Hungarian National Museum 52,28,416 and 420): a handled goblet (PI. XV no. 18) and a pedestalled dish with a small handle (PI XV no. 17). Százhalombatta is the site yielding a few­vessels for the Székesfehérvár Museum, belonging to our type: 1. Four-handled bowl (PI. XVI no. 9). 2. One­handled goblet, orange (PL XVI no. 10). 3. A similar smaller one, grey (PI. XVI no. 11). — One of the one­handled Nagyrév jugs from Százhalombatta in the National Museum may belong to a similar complex 37 (PL XVI tno. 12). Kulcs — Radicsa. This site yielded vessels belonging to urn graves for the Székesfehérvár Mu­seum. They represent a transition towards the Kulcs type already 1. The fragment of a globular-shaped urn on 'he lower third a lattice ornament partitioned by finger impressions (PL XVI no. 6) 2. Handled bowl (PL XVI no. 5). 3. Three-handled bowl (PL XVI no. 3). 4. A jar of the Nagyrév type with a strap handle star­ting from under the rim (PL XVI no. 2). 5 Pot with four wart handles under the rim (PL XVI no. 4). 6. One­handled pedestalled dish (PL XVI no. 1). Dunaújváros — D u n a d ü 1 б. 38 The Dunaúj­város Museum has an autentic grave-furniture from here: 1. Urn, four warts on its splaying rim, the neck is smooth, divided from the brushed lower part of the body by a furrowed lattice (PI. XVI no. 13). 2. One ­handled jug, its body is ornamented with incisions (PL XVI no. 14). 3. Pedestalled dish (PL XVI no. 15). 4. Two­handled tiny bowl (PI. XVI no. 16). Kisapostag. The Székesehérvár Museum has a grave-furniture from an unauthentic excavation, re­liable as regards the vessels., however. Grave A. 1. Store-jar shaped urn, its smooth neck is divided from the brushed body by a furrowed lat­tice ornament. On the neck four furrowed warts."'' Height: 26 cm. 2. Four-handled bowl/' 0 Height: 10 cm. The considerable part of the unobserved numerous Nagyrév graves uncovered at Kisapostag belong to the Szigetszentmiklós type. One part of them approaches also the ökörhalom type, as the urn of the grave A just mentioned or a Nagyrév jug 41 a few vases 42 for sus­pension and jugs; 43 another part has been enumerated in the frame of the Kulcs group. Among those of the Szigetszentmiklós type numerous Nagyrév jugs 44 and a characteristic large store-jar shaped urn with a smooth neck and brushed body/* 5 deserve to be mention­ed. In course of systematical excavations an authen­tic urn grave has been found on the land of M. Vánus (Székesfehérvár Museum). Grave 17. 1. Store-jar shaped-urn, below a smooth neck there is a furrowed rib and a pock-marked body/' (i Height: 19 cm. 2. The bowl covering the urn is bro­ken 3. A Nagyrév jug with a "classic" form/' 7 Bölcske — Szentandráspuszta. (Szek­szárd Museum 120, 1933). From this site we have pre­37 Arch. Ért. 22 (1902) 423 fig. 4. The same: F. TOMPA, Buda­pest története I. pi. XI no. 17. H8 More than the half of the scattered cremation and urn graves discovered in Dunaújváros-Dunadűlő in 1951 belongs to our type. I no. 85. — The 79 pieces of bronze, published together with the vessels, belong to the type Vatya I'b, so they date from Middle Bronze Age 2. sented the Nagyrév finds of the Kulcs type, collected somewhat later. Let us enumerate those of the Sziget • szentmiklós type here: 48 1. Urn with an oval body and tight necik. On the beilly a small strap handle, below which an impressed lattice is running round. Height: 40.5 cm (PL XVII no. 22) 2. Urn with an almost biconi­cal oval body, on the belly an impressed lattice orna­ment. The part under the lattice is pock-marked. The tight cylindrical neck is fragmentary (PI. XVII 23). 3. One-handled bowl Height: 5 cm, rim diameter: 11 cm (PL XVII no. 6). 4. "Classic" Nagyrév jug. Height: 9.6 cm (PL XVII no. 14) 5. A similar one, but with a handle starting from the rim. Height: 7.3 cm (PL XVII no. 15). 6. Nagyrév jug on the neck an indented lattice orna­ment encircled by a groove. Height: 9.2 cm (PL XVII no. 10). 7. Jug with an angular body. Height: 8 5 cm (PI. XVII no. 8). 8. A similar one with a handle starting from the rim. Height: 8.3 cm (PL XVII no. 9). 9. Hand­led jug with a globular belly. Height: 7.5 cm (PL XVII no. 13). 10 Bulgy handled jug with a funnel-shaoed neck. Height: 6.8 cm (PL XVII no. 17). 11. Handled jug. Height: 7.8 cm (PI. XVII no. 7). 12. A similar one. but smaller and coarser. Height: 6.6 cm (PL XVII no. 16). 13. One handled pedestalled dish. Height: 6.6 cm (PL XVII no. 14). 14. A small beaker with a truncated cone shape. Height: 4.3 cm (PL XVII no. 4). 15. Pedestalled dish. Height: 5.4 cm (PL XVII no. 2). 16. Small handled cup (PL XVII no. 1). 17—18. Truncated cone-shaped small vases. Height: 3.4 cm (PL XVII nos 3, 5). The Bölcske and Kulcs—Radicsa cemeteries belong to the variety of the type which has extended mainly in the south. In this circle we known numerous stray vessels which may be regarded as grave-goods. Let us enumerate a series of these. Ráckeve (Berlin, Museum für Völkerkunde). 1. Nagyrév jar with a handle starting from the rim (PL XVIII no. 10). 2. Nagyrév jug (PI XVIII no. 12). 3. Wide handled cup (PL XVIII no. 11). Budapes t —V á m о s­egyháza (Hungarian National Museum). One-handl­ed pedestalled dish Its rim and the turn of its belly are indented through furrowing. Height: 6 cm (PL XVII no. 10). 2. Nagyrév jug (PL XVIII no. 12). 3. Wide Museum): 1. Nagyrév jug (PI. XVIII no 4) and 2. handled cup (PL XVIII no. 5) were brought in together. Érd (?), in the Vác Museum: 1. One-handled urn, on the lower third a lattice ornament, on the shoulder and belly incised linear decoration (PL XVIII no. 14) 2. Nagyrév jug with en angular body (PL XVIII no. 15). 3. Coarse store jar with a wide mouth, four wart handles under the rim (PL XVIII no. 16). A don y (Szé­kesfehérvár Museum). Four-handled bowl with a truncanted cone shape (PL XVIII. no. 13).
