Therefore the short definition of Scordisci art we have sketched here emphasizes its syncretism, borrowing the stylistic features cited above but founded on Eastern Celtic culture. Thus it is more understandable that this art created objects which did not deviate from the usual models of La Tène culture until the later phase of the life of the Scordisci. At this time the original La Tène (Celtic) foundations were weakening, subject not only to military and political pressures, but also to the constant process of adaption to local surroundings.
